Print a document

1. Open the document you want to print.
2. Choose File > Print or press ⌘ P.
3. Adjust the options in the standard macOS print dialog.
4. Click Print.

Print options

The print dialog is the standard macOS one, so you can:

• Choose a printer, or Save as PDF from the PDF menu.
• Set the number of copies, paper size, and orientation.
• Scale the pages to fit the paper.
• Check every page in the preview before printing.

The dialog prints the whole document: it has no page-range control, so there is no way to print just a few pages from it.

Print only some pages

Print to a PDF first, then print the pages you want from that file:

1. Choose File > Print, then Save as PDF from the PDF menu.
2. Open the saved PDF in Preview, select the pages you want in the sidebar, and print those.

Tip

To create a file rather than a paper copy, Export to PDF gives you quality presets and an optional searchable text layer that the print dialog’s Save as PDF does not.
