Opening a document
Supported files
Section titled “Supported files”Niraqua DjVu opens DjVu documents, the .djvu (and .djv) files produced by
scanners and DjVu encoders. Both single-page and multi-page documents are
supported.
Ways to open a document
Section titled “Ways to open a document”- Double-click a
.djvufile in Finder (once Niraqua DjVu is the default app for DjVu files - see below). - Drag a
.djvufile onto the Niraqua DjVu icon in the Dock. - From the app, choose File > Open and pick a
.djvufile. - Right-click a
.djvufile in Finder and choose Open With > Niraqua DjVu.
Each document opens in its own window, so you can read several at once.
Make Niraqua DjVu the default
Section titled “Make Niraqua DjVu the default”To open every DjVu file with Niraqua DjVu automatically:
- Select a
.djvufile in Finder. - Choose File > Get Info (⌘ I).
- Under Open with, choose Niraqua DjVu.
- Click Change All… and confirm.
After this, double-clicking any .djvu file opens it in Niraqua DjVu.
If a file will not open
Section titled “If a file will not open”A damaged or partially downloaded file may fail to open. See Troubleshooting for what to check.
